There was a time I would finish applying my makeup, drop my brushes, and use them again the next morning without washing them.
Honestly, I thought it wasn't a big deal. As long as my brushes still looked okay, I didn't see any reason to wash them after every use.
But I began to pay more attention to my skin.
I noticed pimples appearing on my face, and my skin wasn't looking as smooth as I wanted. I started worrying about how my face looked, especially when I had to go out without makeup.
I was spending money on skincare products and makeup, yet I wasn't paying enough attention to something that touched my face almost every day: my makeup brushes.
I later learned that makeup brushes can collect old foundation, powder, oil, dead skin cells, and germs. Reusing them without proper cleaning can contribute to clogged pores, skin irritation, and other skin problems.
That was when I realised that keeping my brushes clean was just as important as taking care of the rest of my beauty routine.
